The Parent Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast is located in Lake Champlain Valley of Vermont, The Green Mountain State.
ON 160 ACRES, this simply elegant, early 1800's Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast offers some of Vermont's most beautiful farm land that sets us apart. Find yourself in the midst of lovely flower and vegetable gardens, designed and constructed by Lucy & Roger Parent, your hosts. Although this farm was not passed down by an earlier generation, Lucy & Roger were established here forty-four years ago, and to date are the longest in the history of the property to reside here. The B&B was started spring of 1999, since then many visitors from all over the world have come to stay and enjoy the slower pace of country life. Chances are, you will see the herd of Angus beef cows grazing in our fields, Roger haying in the summer months or Lucy working in the gardens around the yard. Help pick veggies or fruit for your farm fresh organic breakfast, as the seasons permit. Vermont pure maple syrup is always on the breakfast table. Be our guest in the bright and pleasant sun room where you can read the daily paper, watch for wildlife to greet your day, or just relax as you sip your first cup of coffee or tea. |
Because Franklin County, Vermont is known to have some of the richest farmland in the northeast, expect to see nature at it's best while you are here. If you decide to take a romantic stroll down our country road, you may encounter many different types of birds, deer, and other wildlife, in the fall expect to see all the wonderful colors nature provides for us, possibly you will also see farmers harvesting their corn fields. At The Parent Farmhouse B&B you will slow down and relax, you will notice the air is fresher and the stars are brighter. Many guests ask to sit outside after dark just to see the sky and the stars that are not visible in bright city lights. You will bring back with you long lasting memories of a relaxing, easier way of life, the way it use to be. |
